OK so I copied the headline from ESPN.Com. As I predicted on the night before the series commenced, the Angels won their 1st World Series in franchise history (42 years, no titles) defeating the San Francisco Giants 4-1 in Game 7 Sunday night. Troy Glaus awarded MVP. Also:

Lackey, pitching on three days' rest, became only the second rookie to win Game 7 of the Series. He joined Babe Adams, who pitched Pittsburgh past Ty Cobb and Detroit in 1909.
