When you look at the final week of the NFL Regular Season many interesting scenarios have the potential to unfold.

With the Chargers embarrassing home loss to the Miami Dolphins and the Chiefs last minute loss at Dallas, the AFC West is the Broncos to lose with a more advantageous schedule out of the 3 AFC West division contenders:

Denver should have the Division title wrapped up by the end of Week 16 play. If Denver were to win out they would clinch a 1st Round bye with a 10-2 conference record besting the Cincinnati Bengals 9-3, if both teams were to win out.

This one has potential for a Division title showdown with this remaining schedule: No longer has a division title showdown potential with New England blanking Tampa Bay 28-0 to clinch the AFC East Division Title:

Tampa Bay is improving as the season is going along. They can pound the Pats on the ground. The Bucs showned their toughness with a victory on the road at Carolina in a key division game. This game will really test Simms and the Bucs going into a hostile and frigid environment. If they can win, the Dolphins have a legitimate chance of going into New England for a chance at the AFC East division title and they can thank the Buffalo Bills for this opportunity.

January 1st 2006 Chicago 10 at Minnesota 34
The Vikings remarkable resurgence has vaulted them back into the NFC North division title race. The Bears 21-9 loss at Pittsburgh exposed some possible defensive weaknesses coupled with an anemic offense spells trouble while clinging to a 1 game lead. The NFC South dogfight would even include the woeful Saints on the last day of the season. The Panthers looked to take a big step toward a division title but the Bucs stamped out those thoughts with a resounding 20-10 victory in Charlotte, North Carolina. On Monday night, the Falcons took care of business in a 36-17 victory over the pesky Saints. The remaining schedule sets up well for the Buccaneers:

If the Falcons are going to ascend into the upper eschelon of the NFL this is the time to cash in on those goals." "Damn straight."

The Reggie Bush Bowl: Houston 17 at San Francisco 20 OT
The Texans 13-10 loss at Tennessee moves them 1 step closer to the #1 Draft pick and selecting Heisman award winner All World USC Running Back Reggie Bush. This game will be critical in determining Reggies destination and each of these franchises future. How the coaches manage the game will be interesting. As you can see the Jaguars will play a big role in the draft pick determination sequence. The Texans recent competitive play would lead one to believe they are capable of possibly winning the next game against the just about as pitiful Arizona Cardinals. Which brings up an entirely different issue, remember the Cardinals were talked up all preseason of being a suprise team, even a Super Bowl contender, 1 of those come out of nowhere Super Bowl winners what a laugh BWAHAHAHAAAA BRAHAHAA BWAHAHAAA Cue up the Predator laugh BWAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAAAHAHAAAA. Anyway, as for the 49ers schedule, they look to lose the next 2 games on the road although you never know with the Rams. Both teams should be 2-13 (yes the Texans may actually win a game) when they face off on New Years Day at 3Com Park at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

In the end, in Super Bowl XL in Detroit, Michigan at Ford Field, I see the Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys wow did I really type that?!?!??!? 1 more try......Colts and the Seattle Seahawks to decide the NFL Champion of the season of 2005-2006.
