The groundhog comes out every year on February 2nd, (Groundhog Day), to predict an early end to winter or 6 weeks added on to it. Seeing his shadow would equal 6 more weeks of winter or not seeing his shadow would result in a shorter winter. The groundhog has been glorified for these 'predictions'. Most pay no attention to the forecast. If he sees his shadow more 'FTGs' are likely to follow. Hence the internet slang term, 'FTG' 'Fuck the groundhog'. I have now defined my internet slang term, use it wisely.
